Our Story

Made with Intent, Worn for Life.

CAPRICE was born in Cairo in 1991 from a simple belief: that beautiful things shouldn't fall apart.

The Beginning

Two artisans. One stitching horse. An unreasonable standard.

CAPRICE was founded in 1991 in a 40-square-metre workshop in Cairo. Our founders had both spent years working for fashion houses that valued aesthetics over integrity — products designed to look good in marketing photos, not to last a decade.

They left. They started over. The first rule: nothing ships unless it passes a stress test. Every handle is pulled to 40 kg. Every zip is cycled 2,000 times. Every edge is burnished until it could pass for the face of the leather.

Over thirty years later, the workshop has grown. The standard has not.

"Buy fewer things. Own better ones."

What We Stand For

Our Values

Handcrafted Always

Every CAPRICE piece is cut, stitched, and finished by a single artisan from start to finish. We believe in the integrity of one pair of hands owning the entire process.

Sustainable Tanning

We source only vegetable-tanned leather from tanneries that have held the same environmental standards for over a century. No chrome, no shortcuts, no compromises.

Lifetime Repair

We stand behind our craft indefinitely. Any structural failure — broken stitching, failed hardware, torn lining — repaired free of charge, no questions asked.

Ethically Sourced

Our supply chain is audited annually. Every hide is traceable to the farm, every buckle to its foundry. We believe transparency is the foundation of trust.

Care Guide

Leather Improves with Age

01

Condition Regularly

Apply a natural beeswax or lanolin balm every 3–6 months, or when the leather feels dry.

02

Avoid Saturation

Light rain is fine. Submersion is not. If soaked, let it dry naturally — no heat sources.

03

Store Properly

Stuff bags with tissue paper to hold shape. Keep in the dust bag, away from direct sunlight.
