Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: July 2025

Introduction

At CAPRICE, accessible at caprice-eg.com, the privacy of our visitors is one of our main priorities. This Privacy Policy document explains what information is collected by CAPRICE and how we use it.

If you have additional questions or require more information about our Privacy Policy, do not hesitate to contact us at capricebelt@yahoo.com.

This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information they share and/or we collect on CAPRICE. This policy is not applicable to any information collected offline or via channels other than this website.

Information We Collect

The personal information we ask you to provide, and the reasons why we ask for it, will be made clear to you at the point of collection.

If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you send us, and any other information you choose to provide.

When you register for an account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, email address, and telephone number.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, operate, and maintain our website; improve and personalise your experience; understand how you use our website; develop new features; communicate with you about your orders and account; and detect and prevent fraud.

Log Files

CAPRICE follows standard practice in using log files. These files record visitors when they access our website. The information collected includes IP addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamps, and referring/exit pages.

This information is used for analysing trends, administering the site, and tracking users' movement on the website. It is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

Third-Party Privacy Policies

Our Privacy Policy does not apply to other websites or advertisers. We advise you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of any third-party services you use.

You can choose to disable cookies through your individual browser options. Detailed information about cookie management can be found at your browser's respective website.

Cookies & Local Storage

CAPRICE uses a deliberately small number of cookies and browser storage entries. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share browsing data with advertising networks.

session (cookie, strictly necessary) — set only when you sign in. It keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, is marked HttpOnly so scripts cannot read it, and is removed when you sign out.

caprice_cookies (local storage) — remembers whether you accepted or declined this notice, so the banner is not shown again.

caprice.paymentToken (session storage) — created only if you pay by card, so that we can show you the result when the payment provider returns you to the site. It is deleted when you close the tab.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate. It does not set cookies and does not identify individual visitors. If error monitoring is enabled, technical error reports are sent to Sentry; session recording is switched off.

Declining this notice does not disable the strictly necessary items above, because the site cannot sign you in or complete a card payment without them. You can clear all of them at any time through your browser settings.

Access, Correction & Deletion

You have the right to control your personal data. If you wish to access, correct, update, or request the deletion of the personal information we hold about you, you can contact us at any time at capricebelt@yahoo.com.

Please be aware that we may need to retain certain information for record-keeping purposes, to complete transactions, or when required by law. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

GDPR Data Protection Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you are entitled to the following rights under the GDPR:

The right to access — You have the right to request copies of your personal data.

The right to rectification — You have the right to request correction of any inaccurate information we hold about you.

The right to erasure — You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.

The right to object to processing — You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.

If you make a request, we have one month to respond. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at capricebelt@yahoo.com.

We use cookies to enhance your browsing experience and personalise content. By continuing, you agree to our Cookie Policy.
